VOLVO CAR PARTS : I've been to my local Volvo dealer and I absolutely love the S80 and Volvo'ssafe reputation. I heard that Volvo car parts are hard to get. So if I do buythe car and if I'm involved in a terrible wreck or something malfunctions, willit be hard to replace certain parts of the car?? Which parts? I hit the seat belt pillar.call your local dealer and tell them you spun out at 90mph in your new volvo whileyou were drunk and with a hot chick like a kennedy tell them you went of a bridgeand there for need a hood and right fender and left door skin. throw in a rightside rear tail light assemble for good measure ask how long it will be to get theparts.
VOLVO CAR PARTS : The S80 is a new model, so many parts will probably be dealer only forsome time.In general I have found the Volvo dealer parts network to be bothresponsive and reasonably priced.Wow, where do you live ? Here in the UK, the Volvo dealers rip the piss withtheir pricing policy.My S-80 was making a noise in the power steering - the dealer said they hada fix, installing a new pump with a larger reservoir. It also made a noisein the tie rod; had a fix for that also, However, no parts. Got a call thenext day - they had them and a loaner car ready any time I could stop by.Between the internet (intranet), UPS, FEDEX, and 1000's of parts suppliers,anything is within reach. FYI, my wife works for Catterpillar - they can getany part, anywhere in 24hrs (except Antartica, however - they have a goodparts store there for their generators). The point is, the old days ofwaiting a month or so are over - if you have to wait, you either have adealer who workd in the dark ages, or doesn't really care about getting yourcar fixed as fast as you (or you live in a 3rd world, or developing country,etc....)
VOLVO CAR PARTS : I had a fender bender ( 1990 dl 240)and am having trouble locating the partsthat I need at the junk yards. I need the drivers side head light andassembly, the turning signal and assembly, and the strip of molding that runsacross the front (under the grill). Does anyone know of a catalog or dealer inused parts. I am sorry my descriptions may be poor but I am not a real carbuff only one who would like to keep this car on the road. Thank you for yourassistance.B&D Auto Parts in Mass. has everything you need, new or used, for killerprices - except, since you probably don't live near them, shipping will makethe prices seem more average.try this website , i found it to very usefulin locating used parts.You might also want to try a used Volvo parts yard in Rancho Cordova, CA-- I just bought a replacement rim from them after running off the roadand denting the original. They were very helpful and have a good supply ofeverything Volvo. Don't worry, they'll ship if you're not close and theirprices are reasonable.

VOLVO CAR PARTS : Today my 1996 850 T5 CD, went in to get the brakes checked at myrequest as I was getting a wobble through the steering wheel whenbraking hard, at speed.An hour later I was called by the garage and told that I needed 2 newrear disks, and a new set of pads for each, so I asked how much thejob would cost me includingall parts, labour, fitting etc, and wastold £233.I thought, shit, that sounds expensive, I told the engineer I wouldcall him back in a few minutes after I had decided what to do.I called euro car parts, and was given the following prices forGENUINE volvo parts....................are you all ready;1 full set of original volvo brake pads (4 in a set)...£122 new original volvo rear disks...£21 eachI then called the main dealer and asked how much they would charge meto fit the parts only?, I was quoted £60 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
