( a tidy sum )Now with todays technology,surely some one out there is burning these to CD.Are they out there yet? or am I going to need to do this myself????The vast majority of public libraries have microfiche readers. Bigger branchesalso frequently have readers which can print out hard copies. (Gotta pay forthe hardcopies, though.)And, yes, the microfiche is invaluable if you ever want to order partsdirectly.--Michael J. Helm, Inc. sells the parts catalog onpaper for my bike, a 1981 Honda CB900C. I suspect they probably don'thave the fiche or paper parts catalog for *all* Honda bikes, but theydefinitely sell owner's manuals and workshop manuals for most Hondabikes sold in the US, as well as books for a number of cars, includingHonda, Ford, Isuzu, Subaru, Suzuki (car only, not Suzuki bikesunfortunately), GM, Hyundai, Jaguar, Kia, and Acura, in no particularorder.Look again on the main page of their website at and you will see 'Honda Motorcycles' listed as the third category inthe left hand column, in between Acura and Isuzu. Click on the 'partscatalog' link under 'Honda Motorcycles' and you'll get a form where youcan select the year and type (All models, All-Terrain vehicles,Dual-Sport, Off-Road, Street, and Scooters).
SUZUKI CAR PARTS : where in the world can i find and know how to install a tachometer for a3 cyl suzuki swift engine?Well you might try and find a manual for that car somewhere. Look upwhere it talks about the distribtor...... it may say something abouta tach lead harness coming from the distribtor. I was told that to get the tach on the guagepanel I bought to work, I would have had to rig it directly from thecoil/dist and forget about the gauge panel tach.
SUZUKI CAR PARTS : I'm glad to see I'm not the only one contemplating atach....Ive been researching this question on and off for 6 monthsnow, primarily because I don't want to blow any fuses or fry the ECM(both are very good reasons to be patient). There seem to be slightwiring differences between the base models and the xfi version thatcomplicate tach installations for me (xfi versions were made from89-94 and supposedly weren't made for tachs...I wish to disprove this;) ). The tach plug to the panel in the service manual says "notused", but is it truly non-functional? I can't find that answer inthe entire manual, hmmmmm....... The suzuki swift IS the geo metro, and vice versa...6 monthsout of the year the factory up in Ingersoll, Ontario manufactured "geometros", the other 6 months Swifts, in a joint agreement between GMand Suzuki. For want of more money and dealer complaints onzero-profit from these cars, GM discontinued the metro coupe lineuplast year. Im sure the sedan will quickly follow (currently onlyavailable as fleet vehicles). However, some metros / swifts were madein Japan, which complicates matters. One question will solve this: Are the first two digits on the VIN "2C" (Canada) or "JG" (Japan)?
