OLDSMOBILE CAR PARTS : 2.)Eibach Springs: How much is good to lower the car? 1.5" inches? Wouldyou reccomend this before I even change the tire sizes (May be lookingat the Nittos 18"x9") Right now, I have 16" on there. (Blah!) I went tothe new Car parts there, and they were clueless when it came to Mustangsand only tried to sell me what they had (which was for imports,something they deal with a lot there).3.)And a Vortech Supercharger (8PSI). Is it safe to put one on acompletely stock car? I was reading an article straight from Vortechthat says the Supercharger is designed for completely stock cars, butany mods done afterwards, Vortech wouldn't be held responsible for, etc.I can get an answer from Down's Ford on this, but they take a while toget back to me usually.

I hear that anything done at all (besides changingthe air filter element) would completely void the warranty and I shouldwait the 3 years till it's up. OLDSMOBILE CAR PARTS : Buy a 96-98 K&N from Pep Boys (that's where i got mine). they will order itif they don't have it in stock. you might get lucky. if it doesn't fit, takeit back. i am almost positive that the airbox in the 99's is the same sizeas the earlier models. Sean Hylands stuff is over priced and the only placeto get it is Sean Hyland Motorsports (SHM). he has ads in MM&FF and 5.0Magazine.1.5" inch drop is the most i would recommend unless you live in a very flatworld. you might want to take a look at your budget before you buy 18"anything. that stuff gets expensive. other than that, you also have to beaware of clearance issues if you run wide tires. if you want to be loweredand have big wheels, do the lowering first to see how big of a wheel andtire combo you can actually use.
OLDSMOBILE CAR PARTS : no supercharger is completely safe. the Vortech kits are set upI can also buy one from Car Parts if I really wanted to since they havethem in stock already for the 98's. However, the other "Kar" Partsreccomended I don't do this. The guy said there could be somethingdifferent, like a bit more air that flows through, for the 99's.Everywhere I've read so far though, everyone has pretty much put the98's in them. I know for fact that they fit, but I *really* want to waittill they have everything for 99's (and not just the element). I checkedout SHM's we site, and you're right, he is overpriced. It was like $249for the mass air meter kit, which he *claims* adds 15HP on the stock 99GT (Mustang Monthly also had that claim as well.) If it actually doesadd it, I would consider it..
OLDSMOBILE CAR PARTS : Yeah, I see the prices on Nitto. It would total up to around $600 (alittle more actually) and that's just the tire, mind you I have tochange the wheel itself. The budget isn't one thing that really concernsme yet. I may wait till after winter anyway to put on a set of 18"tires. As for the Eicbach, as I said, Car Parts actually sells them fora little under $200. 1.5" is what I was hearing from others as well, andno way would I go anywhere past that. The only problem is that there wasnobody at Car Parts available that could help because the place was sobusy of all things. I'm gonna have to get there on a weekday. I triedcalling them direct, but they're number was disconnected. Oh well.
