NISSAN CAR SPARES : There something you guys up at RCCA know about the F1 class wedon't, like it's dying? Haven't seen too much on it recently in the mag. . . ohhh well, it's times like this I wish I wasn't a poor collegestudent and had $$$ to toss around in R/C again, who says you don't need4 F1 cars hehe . . .errr well, 5 since I already have a HPI Super F1. And once again, I'm gonna ask if any of you out there know of anywhereto race F1 in Pittsburgh . . . I mean, there's got to be someplace thathas a F1 class around here.Paul K.P.S. RCCA is the best, it got me into the hobby, and has kept me in itwhile I haven't been able to race (mainly from a lack of somewhere TOrace, HELP ME PLEASE hehe).Most of them almost certainly were. I got the chance to write a "thrashtest" (haven't read RCCA in a while, are they still calling theirreviews that?) and I did get everything free. I don't see what's wrong withselling it though, and I doubt the companies would give two craps about itanyway.

This is one of the things that I hate about e-mail, newsgroups, and the Internet. Anyone with an attitude can say anything they want about a total stranger, and all I can do is try to defend myself. Well, screw that.Had you come to me-via private e-mail-and asked me questions that you had about the ethics of selling cars that you erroneously assumed were gifts from manufacturers, we could have talked about that. NISSAN CAR SPARES : Well, let's see. What would I say if I were a manufacturer. Well, I sentthis guy a $200 kit car that cost me about $50. He spent 12 or more hoursputting it together...and then spent four hours or more writing it up. That cost me $50, and he spent 16 hours of his own time on it. He may havebeen paid by the magazine to write the article, and possibly even takepictures! ....but he didn't need me to give him a car for that, he couldhave written about anyones car, or just plain old tires for that matter. So, for $50, I get all this free advertisement...AND someone to do it forme! Gee, that seems like a really good investment.How much do you think the manufacturers pay for their advertising...say afour page spread with full color pictures and ad-copy (that's the text thatgoes into an ad)? A lot more than $50.
