CARS SPARE PARTS : PUTRAJAYA, April 19 (Bernama) -- Reconditioning classic carscan become a major industry as this can earn revenue for thecountry and thus should be promoted, Deputy Prime MinisterDatuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said Friday."In Malaysia many people are interested in owning classiccars and to recondition these cars is not something easyparticularly when there are no spare parts," he said afterflagging off 50 mini-cars which left Dataran Putra here in aconvoy for Alor Setar on a charity tour organised by theMini Car Owners Club of Malaysia.Abdullah arrived for the ceremony in a Mini Cooper built in1964. It is the Deputy Prime Minister's first car which hebought when was an officer in the Public Service Department(PSD).He said to recondition cars all the spare parts should beoriginal and only then could it be considered fullyrestored.
