CAR SPARE PART : Suppose we all lease our cars from the same Company. We don't ownthem. If my friend's car breaks down, I can give him the part heneeds (of which my car has two). I have not waived any rights nortransfered any ownership. The Leaser still owns the same number ofworking parts. (The lease agreement says something about the Leasernot being responsible for broken parts)Now if on the other hand I "sell" my spare part, I have obviously donesomething unethical, haven't I? I am LEASING the car. I have donesomething I had no right to do. Nor even a "right" to prevent!I did not waive my right to prevent broken-car-chap from raiding mycar for parts. I had no such right. If anything, I had a duty toprotect my car from raiding (If for no other reason, to avoid thewrath of the Leaser)
CAR SPARE PART : My insurance agent quoted $1,800 yearly for a $500 deductible. My '98 Honda Civic (pd. $14.4K for it) only costs $713 per year toinsure. Seems a Camry shouldn't be more than $1,100 or so.The wife and I are in our 40's with good driving records. We do haveone teenage girl on the policy, but that only added $360 per year forboth our current cars ('98 Civic and '95 Grand Voyager). She had goodgrades and driver's ed. here in Oklahoma.My insurance agent has (up to now) been very good to me. Anyone haveany explanations?The Camry is number 1 in stolen cars, this may be the reason.Use the internet to find the going price for insurance in your state.Is that true? Where do you find such information? So I consider an alarm?I do have the engine imobilizer on my '02 SE V6.

Sure the 10 years old camry has 150-190kMiles on it but they still have at least 3 years of trouble free life. And mostolder car like that do not used *NEW* parts anymore if you have them repaired.Mostly Junk yards part is enought. So A 10 years old camry is great car in a chop shop. Plus the parts are in highdemand and sell fast.
CAR SPARE PART : Second 10 years old camry are more likely to suffer from broken ignition key. 2of my family runabout camry that is about 180K miles has broken ignition key.the key could slip out of it. plus any toyota key could turn it on with slightforce due to wear and tears on the ignition key cylinder or barell. So a thief would have no difficulties what so ever if they want to steal thecar.Even thought Camry is the most popular selling car they don't sell that manymore against the likes of Pontiac Grand Am, Ford Taurus. Chrysler crap. BUTMOST CAR FROM THE BIG THREE IS ALREADY CRAP OUT. Thus there are more OlderCamry on the road and require Spare part which lead to stolen car and chop shopto supply the spare parts for older Camry.
